Rockathon is Ireland’s only dedicated rock music festival. This year we will have a number of rock tribute bands and unsigned original Irish rock bands.

Rockathon will take place on Saturday, 24th May 2025 in Fairyhouse Racecourse.

The festival site will be open from 12.00pm on Saturday the 24th of May and cease at approximately 10.30pm.

Tickets will be exchanged at the ticket office for wristbands.

Due to licensing restrictions, you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the arena. There is a wide range of premium alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks available for purchase from our bars.

Children 12 and under have free entry into this event but must be accompanied by an adult paying ticket. 

15-18 tickets are half price. 

Persons under 18 years old will only be admitted to the event if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 21 who also purchased a Rockathon Ticket and accepts responsibility for said person.  Garda ID or passport required.  The consumption of alcohol by any person under 18 will result in removal from the event site of that person and of their guardian.

Yes, under 12’s go free.

There are no tickets necessary for under 12’s. Just rock up on the day with your little rockers and once all over 12’s have tickets, under 12’s go free.

Rockathon welcomes disabled festival rockers and takes all reasonable measures to assist with their attendance and enjoyment of the event.

Fairyhouse Racecourse is a very accessible site with tarmac throughout.

Disabled parking very close to the entrance.

Disabled toilets are provided on site.

If disabled guests find that there are specific problems resulting from their disability, please contact one of the stewards who will be happy to help you.  

Guests with accessible needs are entitled to a complimentary carers ticket for one personal assistant/carer who accompanies any disabled guest.

Yes, there is free secure parking on site all day.

There will be a range of food and drink stalls open all weekend which should cater to every taste.

Porto loo toilets will be dispersed throughout the site.

Yes, camping is available and can be paid on arrival. The fee is €30 per person, under 12’s are free. Campervans are also welcome. (no fee charged to weekend camping ticket holders or VIP ticket holders)

Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the festival site, with the exception of guide dogs.

You can bring your own tables and chairs into the main arena but security may ask you to move them to the perimeter of the arena if they are causing any obstruction. Chairs and picnic tables are not allowed in the area between the sound desk and the front of the stage.

You are allowed to bring soft drinks/water with you.  Anything considered open will be confiscated on the gate. Camel packs (or similar) are not permitted.  Please note there will be free water points inside the arena so you can refill any empty water bottle throughout the day.

Due to safety concerns, barbecues of any type are prohibited anywhere on the festival site.

As well as alcohol, no glass or sharp objects (including picnic cutlery) are permitted to be brought into the event and all guests will be subject to a brief search on entry as part of our security policy.

• Tickets – Don’t forget to bring your e-tickets. They can be scanned from your phone so keep them handy.
• Tent – If camping 
• Sleeping bag – a warm one. The weather can get very cold at night. Camp mat recommended.
• Rain gear, wellies and extra socks –  Everyone has a rain jacket, it’s Ireland after all!
• Cash is accepted – we won’t have any ATM’s on site so make sure you bring enough money for the weekend.  Card machines will be available.
• Torch – bring a torch if camping as your phone’s battery won’t last that long. 
• Portable battery pack – always good to have a backup
• Sun cream, Shades and bandana – let’s hope the sun shines
• Ear plugs & ear defenders for the little rockers.
